My Humbled Gas Mileage Chart

By admin | November 14, 2008

I have been keeping track of my gas mileage for a long time now. I don’t see it as a chore at all, in fact most of the time I already have the figures down and just have to add to the gas mileage chart when I go somewhere new.

With the data I collected from my driving I can accurately see how much gas it takes to get just about anywhere in town in my car and can plan trips more efficiently, even take routes that are easier on gas as well! This has saved me hundreds of dollars a year so it’s well worth the extra steps. Once your used to doing it its as easy as getting in and adjusting your mirrors.

Beautiful Sterling Silver necklace

By admin | November 10, 2008

I think when you check out jewelry there can be no better way of seeing  the true craftmanship of a designed than by checking out the latest designs of Celtic jewelry. I was looking at buying a Celtic Sterling Silver necklace for my girlfriend about a week ago. I found that they were reasonably priced, but it was hard to find the right piece.

My girlfriend is really picky, so i had to take her a along with me and then she could ask the guy that made them some questions. i never realized all the effort that goes into making these Celtic Sterling Silver necklaces as well as rings and other delicate pieces. This guy showed us his equipment and said it was extremely expensive to have when you buy it new, but after learning the craft you get regulars that enjoy your style.

Bankruptcies On The Rise

By admin | October 15, 2008

With the current financial crisis in the credit markets and subprime mortgage meltdown bankruptices among individuals and businesses have been on the rise.  This rise is to be expected and has been common during economic downturns since back in the 1920s. The largest rises have been in New York, Houston, Los Angeles, and Chicago bankruptcy filings.

Many people simply cannot afford their mortgage payments and choose to file for bankruptcy instead of losing their home.  If you are one of those that is considering bankruptcy then I urge you to choose wisely. Bankruptcy might be your only option but remember his will stay with you on your credit report for at least 7 years if not more.

Postcards for My Friends

By admin | September 10, 2008

During last Christmas I’ve discovered online postage, and I’ve been using it ever since. I find it very convenient to print my own stamps, directly from my computer, and not having to wait in line at the post offices, like I used to do whenever I wanted to send greeting cards to my friends and family. The most beautiful part is that I can personalize my stamps, and it is unbelievable what effect this had upon my friends. I’m sure they will remember my postcards for along time, and that they are showing them to everybody. Getting personal is always cool.

I Prefer Guitar Hero

By admin | September 10, 2008

Yep, that’s right, I’m not a Rock Band fan, I prefer my Nintendo Wii Guitar Hero instead. Yes I’ve played both, no I don’t own Rock Band, a friend (Paul) does. I just like Guitar Hero better. More of the songs that I like and I just think that it looks better. Plus with the upcoming release of Guitar Hero: World Tour, you can have everything that Rock Band does and still get all the cool music that Rock Band doesn’t.

So far I own every GH that’s been released to date, some for my PS2 and others for my Wii. I’m really excited about the new release coming out though they are really throwing in a good mix of music for my tastes. Everything from the Eagles to Sting to Ozzy to Metallica to Tool to probably one of my favorite songs ever by The Cult - Love Removal Machine.

A Cheap Way To Visit Benelux

By admin | September 10, 2008

Should you be traveling across Europe, don’t forget to pay a visit to Brugge Belgium, as this is one of the oldest cities, preserving the remains of an older civilization. I’ve visited Brugge last year, when I did my trip in all Benelux countries. As I had the railway pass good for one month, I decided to use it at maximum, so I stopped for a short visit in many cities like Rotterdam, Bruges, Liege, Brussels or Haga. Traveling like this is an exciting adventure, with no commitment for the nights, so you can actually stay longer in one place, if you feel like it’s worth a longer visit. Too bad I’m not a student anymore, as they have even better discounts for the railways travels.

Beginnings of OBX

By admin | August 26, 2008

The North Carolina outer banks or OBX for short as some people call it represent so much. For one it could almost be considered where the heart of what is called the USA began. This is because North Carolinas Outer Banks is where the first English colonists tried to settle with horrible results. And most people recognize that today as the lost colony.

On a brighter note though, it is also the grounds where the Wright brothers launched the first flighty airplane from a sand dune at Kitty Hawk.

One thing though that has caused some trouble is the national preservation of these sea shores. There is always a danger of destroying it, and there are foundations like the Cape Hatteras National Seashore association. If you get a chance to visit this wonderful place you can see what makes it so special. There is a lot of wildlife as well to preserve, so lets make sure we do our part to keep it tomorrow what it is today.
